These are my wheelie bins...we had to fill out an application form and be interviewed by a member of the council to get a second one as we are a large family(6)....as you can see one of the bins has a purple lid....this is to indicate to the binmen that it is an 'authorised' second bin...we used to have two with black lids and then they changed the whole bin out to the one with the purple lid...what a waste of money!!!

If you lived in Moray you wouldn't have got a 2nd bin - we would have given you a larger bin which is half as big again as your normal one. We are quite strict here will remove them if we find there are not enough people in your house to warrant one - I do quite like explaining that to people when they ring in to complain their bin has been removed!!
